New to TruckTransformer is the ability to make your own decks! Decks can be made from wood or any other material.

Material costs for these wood decks are less than $200. Anyone who has worked with wood is capable of building these. With optional sides the decks can become a gravel dump box ($300 to $400 additional cost) or with higher sides a refuse container.

Wood platforms can be made attractive and the longevity brought back into the product by simply covering with a thin layer of aluminum or steel. Our web site shows a green wood deck with the sides covered by aluminum. We had a local fabrication company shear and form the sheared length with a 90 degree bend. Using a wood saw we cut the aluminum at appropriate angles and attached the aluminum to the wood platform. The cost of the formed aluminum was $210.00 again with any person familiar with wood capable of fitting the metal. Wood refuse containers, gravel boxes, metal platforms can all be sheeted with a light gauge of metal.

With optional cab guard integrated onto the fork system, the TruckTransformer allows simple flat structures to be built and loaded. These structures double as the truck deck and on-the- ground storage units. By integrating the cab guard into the fork system rather than the deck itself can save as much as thirty percent.

As an example of cost reduction, a 10ft by 8ft wide metal deck with cab guard installed on a truck is approximately $3500. A person familiar building with wood can make a flat wood structure for less than $200 in material costs as shown by the green deck on our website. The fork system with optional cab guard can load and off load several of these wood units, each one equipped with the specific tool boxes, cabinets, equipment, materials and tools for a specific use, job, vocation, recreational activity, etc.
